The Fb firm, Oculus, has confirmed that "tens of hundreds" of its contact controllers have been delivered with hidden messages written on inner parts. These messages have been imagined to be solely Easter eggs on inner prototypes, however they ultimately made their manner onto non-prototype editions despatched to clients.
Nate Mitchell, VR product supervisor on Fb, confirmed in a sequence of tweets that messages resembling "This House to Lease," "The Masons have been Right here" and, mockingly, "Massive Brother is Watching" have been internally registered on some controllers. Some even had the message "Good day iFixit, we see you!" Inside. Mitchell confirmed that these have been supposed for prototypes and that they "by accident" have been built-in into the interior hardware of many contact controllers.
Clearly, these messages is not going to harm anybody and the product will proceed to work as anticipated. It's simply humorous and perhaps even silly to a degree, since you would anticipate such a big firm to place in place processes that stop prototype Easter eggs from being despatched to clients.
Not less than, they took the steps that have been required and made it public earlier than builders or customers found them and questioned why their contact controller says "Massive Brother is Watching".
